From the days of finding the solution for delivering fresh-baked bread from Philadelphia to the Delmarva Peninsula back in the 1920s to our current position as one of the largest temperature-controlled logistics companies on the east coast, we offer our customers a rare combination of strength, stability and experience.PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: To ensure proper selection and loading of customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Responsible for loss, damage, and inventory control.•Select product accurately and properly verify against pick tickets.•Load product properly to minimize damage, turn in proper paperwork, i.e. pick tickets and load diagrams.•Verify product on pallets versus checker?s copy.•Read and understand labels.•Quality assurance on pallet builds.•Wrapping pallets to assure stability.•Ensure a safe and clean work environment.•Safely operate equipment.•Report any equipment problems to Plant Engineer and Supervisor.•Must be able to interact courteously and tactfully with managers, co-workers, customers, and/or vendors in a way that positively affects productivity and morale.•Must have regular and consistent attendance.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, detail cleaning, etc as needed.•Utilizing job-specific procedures and tools when needed.•Performing responsibilities of other positions as requested by Supervisor.•Utilize Supervisor assistance as needed.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:•Previous experience in the warehouse industry.•Must have experience with heavy lifting and loading products.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:•Stand, bend, stoop, squat, walk continuously.•Reach above shoulder level frequently.•Lifting up to 90 lbs occasionally.•Endurance fast past walking continuously.•Pushing/pulling frequently.WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:•Temperatures ranging from -10 to -20 degrees Fahrenheit.
